Magazine Research - Fine WoodWorking

The third magazine we chose is Fine Woodworking. It is slightly more centered around creating wood items at home but fits in well with our DIY theme. The cover of the magazine features a man in the process of creating a wood shelf. It differs a bit from that of the other magazines we looked at because it doesn't have a clean and crisp background it appears to be set in a woodworking shop, but it is still very neat and tidy. Most of the text on the page is white, with only the heading in yellow. The title of the magazine is printed in black on a white background so it stands out nicely. This magazine features a myriad of woodworking-related articles. Page 44 features an article on handmade gifts while page 58 covers how to make a bookcase at home. There are ads scattered throughout the magazine, around every 6 pages there is an ad. The ads are focused around tools that directly relate to woodworking but there are also ads for wood companies and furniture companies. The distribution number for this magazine is about 51,233 copies per month. It doesn't appear to have won any awards at this time.
